Safety Dance!
The first time my brother and I saw this video,
(it was on Beavis and Butthead back in the '90s)
the three characters from this video, and the
scenery reminded us of a certain game by Squaresoft
that came out a few years earlier... anyone wanna
guess what game that is?
...oh yeah. The extended remix. (but no video)

Imagination...?
I posted this comment to someone's journal,
and thought... maybe this deserves a post of it's own...
The tragedy of *your* time, my young friends,
is that you may get exactly what you want.
and thought... maybe this deserves a post of it's own...
What if we could create art by just imagining it?
What if we could make ANYTHING appear, just
by imagining it?
...The current state involves
actually drawing it by hand [or] on the computer.
How about if we could take EXACTLY what was
in our mind, and have it show up on the
screen in a matter of seconds?
How about having the brain be an
input output device directly... like what
[ladyphoenix9] said... a USB port on your head!
I don't know though. I think I'm really
spoiled by computers. At my fingertips,
I have access to so much stuff...
...but on the other hand, my creative juices
are not getting used to where they've atrophied.
I'm so spoiled by computers. Before I had this
much access to computers, I drew a lot more.
Now, I hardly draw...
...but I digress.
Yeah. Direct brain input. I think it's
gonna be the next big thing after the
"information age". People can just IMAGINE
stuff, and have it appear. The "imagination age". :P

Anyone remember this cheesy '80s show?
Don't lie... you probably loved it back then too. :P
(I was a kid... what can I say?)

whoa... good times
I just posted copies of my old websites:
Keep in mind that many urls do not work,
and I'm not going to edit old websites to
update urls. I also no longer use most of the
e-mail addresses on those sites, HOWEVER,
I still have control of http://zap.to/phleck, and
I still use Phleck for AOL IM.
If anything though, these old websites have
copies of some of my drawings and photos that
I've posted in the past. So, if you're interested
in CONTENT I PRODUCED MYSELF, take a look at
these links as they are the only way you can
see some of my work until I actually get around
to posting it here.
OH YEAH... I coded all the HTML in notepad for
all three of these websites.
lurchpoiuyt.com, circa November 2004.
(but right before I made that Birthday flash cartoon,
and a good six months before I worked on my scenes for
The Fingertips Project)
NOTE: COTW was a website I worked on to show
cartoons that I liked or thought were relevant.
Youtube would not come out until the following year.
My old website, circa 2000!
This is also my experiment with FRAMES.
Check out the moire patterns too!
An even older website, originally created in 1999!
This was the last version of it, created while I was
working on the 2000 website.
Note that some of the drawings on this website
still pop up in my more recent works.

VD is for EVERYBODY
Ah... Valentines Day... V-Day... VD...
You know, VD is FOR EVERYBODY!
And to those who are lonely on V-Day,
just remember... you can't get VD from yourself. :D

Three years of photos... in three minutes!
Well, I've been talking about posting vacation pictures
and all sorts of other stuff...
Well, here it is, three years of photos, in three minutes! :D
This is basically all the pictures (minus a few that I couldn't show)
I ever took with my Sony Mavica. (a MVC-FD100) If you saw me taking
a picture of you with this camera... you're probably in this.
However... the pictures zoom by at about 7.5 frames a second, so
it's really hard to identify who's in this. (in case you have
objections to your appearance)
Some of you might have seen an earlier version of this, which
I posted around Thanksgiving last year... this is an updated
version, which features more snow pictures, and my trip to Virginia. :D
If anyone has objections to their uncredited appearance, I'll credit
you on the youtube description. If you see yourself in this, and have
objections and require removal, send me an e-mail, and I'll edit you out.
(but it will take about 3 hours of my time to remove you, recode the
video, and re-upload to youtube)
Also... wanna download a much better version of this?
http://www.fifthandraitt.com/users/ericfleck/livejournal/lotsofpics.avi (13.5 MB)
Open this with your favorite media player, and you can stop the action
to see the picture... :D
BTW... the music is "Third Stone From The Sun" by Jimi Hendrix
OH YEAH... for anyone who saw "The Fingertips Project", I used
this same camera for the "whispering hand" scene, and also,
the picture of my hand for the credits also appears.
and all sorts of other stuff...

Something else
Something else, while I wait...
Charlie Chaplin once called this guy "the greatest comedian in the world".
Charlie Chaplin once called this guy "the greatest comedian in the world".
Gogo para presidente?
Anyone remember this...?
Even weirder... some band who called themselves "JULP"
recorded a cover of the music from this weird clip,
and even made a music video!
OH YEAH, as soon as Youtube lets me upload it... I have a weird clip I MADE
that many people (including my step-father) seem to like.
...that is, if youtube doesn't compress the heck out of it.
If so, I'll have to put it up some other way.
